1. Lógicas de identificación y de interrelación;
2. Criterios de división y alteridad;

In this report we present the results of the UNAJ-Investiga project (2018-2021), which inquires about the problem of the imagination of communities: the ways in which collective identities are constructed and disputed. It is a subject whose knowledge supposes the analysis of two linked questions:“identifications/differentiations and collective memories. We investigate this question at the local scale because the logics of identity, of formation of otherness and intercultural relationships are situated or localized, but also diverse and interconnected. The theoretical-methodological perspectives (ethnographic and microsociological) that frame the project is comprehensive, interpretive or constructivist: that is why we opted for a research design based on field work. Of the different stages of the work plan (exploration, recognition, observation records, interview taking and data systematization and analysis), this report presents the analysis of the dimensions into which we disaggregate the question to be investigated: 1. Identification logics and interrelation; 2. Criteria or principle for division and alterity; 3. Conceptions about time and local territorial space. Following this approach, it is the same social actors who select and classify as "memorable", "varelense", "argentine" (between other identities) to certain events, spaces, attributes and relationships with which they identify/imagine as a local community and national and, at the same time, with which they differ from other communities. In closing, the results are retaken and a discussion is presented on the theoretical-methodological aspects that can be taken up as recommendations and proposals for the next projects and calls of our University.
